40 Journalists to Cover Nigerian Army Firing Championship in Sambisa Forest
The Nigerian Army has approved 40 Journalists to cover the 2017 Nigerian Army Small Arms Championship, inside the notorious Sambisa forest, the former enclave of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorists.
Deputy Director, Army Public Relations of‐the 7 Division, Maiduguri, Lt. Col. Kingsley Emmanuel, disclosed this in a statement, saying event, tagged NASAC 2017 is slated to hold from Monday 27 March to Friday 31 respectively.
According to the statement, Defence Minister, Mansur Dan Ali is expected to repsent President Muhammadu Buhari at the opening ceremony of the event.
Those also expected in Sambisa for the championship comprised of sll the service chiefs, heads of para-military agencies, government officials at both state and federal leves, members of the state and national houses of assbly.
Others were members of the diplomatic corps, domestic and international NGOs, humanitarian agencies and traditonal rulers among others.
Officers and men of the Nigerian Army, drawn from various, divisions, battalions, units and other formations will participate in the compeition.
